About

Brook House Cottage is the perfect getaway retreat nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales for those seeking home from home comfort. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

This dog friendly holiday cottage is within walking distance of the village of Markington with stunning views of the countryside.

Down the private drive you will see guest parking on the left. The cottage has its own entrance at the far end of the property. There is a seating area to the front with table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee.

It is fully self-contained with an open plan aspect, a perfect place for relaxation. It is a good base for walkers and cyclists, with Harrogate, Ripon and York on the doorstep. Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks just a few minutes drive away.

Brook House is a dog friendly cottage and welcomes well behaved dogs. We are dog lovers, however we kindly ask that you refrain from letting them sleep on the furniture and bed.

The space

Brook House Cottage is stone built and is brimming with character including oak beams, stone floors, log burner and mezzanine floor.

The cottage is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen containing everything you need to make your stay home from home including a Nespresso Coffee Machine. The kitchen contains basic staples such as salt and pepper, tea bags and coffee and there is eco-friendly washing up liquid, clean cloths and tea towels.

The bathroom is located downstairs and the stairs lead up to the mezzanine where the bedroom is located.

Underfloor heating ensures you are warm and cosy and of course feel free to light the log burner on chilly winter evenings!

The bed is super comfortable with a down quilt and pillows and crisp white bed linen. We provide fresh, soft towels and we do have a few toiletries should you forget anything!
